James Hong is an attorney licensed by the state bar of California and his primary area of practice currently focuses on bankruptcy, mortgage law, and creditor harassment. Having clerked at the District Attorney’s Office of San Bernardino, he understands the some times “cut-throat” nature of the legal world.

As a young child, James’ parents also filed bankruptcy and had their multi-unit dwelling foreclosed on in Los Angeles. He remembers the pain and anguish his family endured during that time and how it affected his family not only financially, but emotionally as well. For this reason, James not only represents his clients with zeal, but also with compassion.

Before he went to law school, James graduated from the University of California, Irvine with a degree in Biological Sciences. With the permission of his mother (who is a nurse), James decided to give up medicine and instead pursue law. He finally decided on Trinity Law School due to Trinity’s emphasis on ethics and his own personal beliefs. After graduating from Trinity Law School, James worked in the area of bankruptcy law and has already been personally involved, prepared, consulted, counseled, and/or represented in aggregate over thousands of bankruptcy cases.

Given that the recent economic debacle’s origin is due to the housing meltdown, James strives to inform his clients not only of their options, but how there really could be light at the end of the tunnel. At the same time, James is honest with his clients about what to expect and never exaggerates expected consequences. He refuses to sugar coat any situation in order to get the quick buck.
